Failing Can be Scary

Whether it is a certification, not placing well at a competition, or stepping out to train with new people.

Let's get real people.

I have attempted certifications and failed. I have attended seminars where I was under so much internal pressure because of the unsupportive environment that it took me two weeks to decompress.

I failed.

My dogs did not perform like I thought they would. I did not handle myself like I thought I would.

I learned more during all of these events than if I would have sailed through them with no problems.

I now approach these things as a learning opportunity. How can I train my dogs to overcome not only my nerves but to be better.
